Ok, the chat script now appears to complete (I just took out the login
process).  I turned on all the debugging I could find, and I get this:

	Connect PPP0 <--> /dev/tty00
/netbsd ppp0: bad fcs f233
/netbsd ppp0: bad fcs f233
	Serial line is looped back

	Can someone enlighten me as to what this means?
