I am considering cable Ethernet service, and am looking for an
Ethernet card which will be supported by Windows 3.1, Windows 95,
and NetBSD/i386. My cable company will install an Allied Telesyn
plug-n-pray card (ISA or PCI), or I can use my own.

Do I correctly understand that that a PCI Ethernet card is probably
a good idea, since I have 32M in my machine, and going with PCI
would let me avoid the whole ISA DMA hassle? How much better is
the performance likely to be? I suspect that I can get 10 Mb out
of an ISA card, but how much of my P5-90 would that cost me?

Would anybody like to recommend a NetBSD-supported PCI Ethernet
card in terms of price, performance, and stability?

Thanks.
