OK, I went back and looked at your original message. The fact that
you see the
iy0 at isa0 port 0x240-0x24f irq 9: ...
banner means that NetBSD sees the card, which means that at least its
port location is correct. If you type
# ifconfig -a
what does it say about iy0?
Are you sure that your /etc/hostname.iy0 file has the correct
contents?
Is the card's entry in the ARP table correct? Type
# arp -a
to check.
(FYI, note that IRQs 6 and 8 are always in use. IRQ 6 is still used
by the floppy, even if its driver is absent; and IRQ 8 is used by the
timer.)

-current has some PnP support (see src/sys/dev/isapnp) but at the
moment it supports only a very small subset of devices. The
EtherExpress PRO isn't supported yet. But if your problem were
PnP-related, you would not see the iy0 banner during autoconfig.
