Perhaps I should elaborate.  On Solaris, I am able to write to a 4MM
tape drive in compressed and uncompressed modes by opening the device
as two files with different minor device numbers.  Is this also
possible with NetBSD?  On a related subject, is there a program
equivalent to FreeBSD's scsi available for NetBSD?
