The first thing to learn is man
Try:
man ls
man man
man vi
man cd
man tetris

I learned Unix by looking at the directories, and trying to get a man
page on everything I saw.

I do recommend a book: the 4.4bsd Book with the User man pagaes in
it, by O'Reilly Publishing. That way, you can read in bed.
