Stress testing the VM is relatively easy, just malloc yourself lots of
memory and do random writes and reads to it.  Actually testing the
memory on a VM machine from user land could be challenging, making
sure you get all the physical RAM tested is the main problem.

Perchance you could use something from Doom Operating System to
thrash the memory for you or hack the boot blocks so they perform the
test for you - you get the memory size there all you would need to do
is throw in the memory test code (ya know - walking ones, AA's &&
55's, refresh test and all that good stuff) and then install & boot.
Could be a bit of a bear to debug though :-)
