Hello all,
Forgive me if the answer to this question is obvious, but I fail to
see how this happens. To make a very long (and aggravating) story very
short, xdm was causing 'shared memory corrupt' errors in my correctly
configured ed0 driver by reading from the card's shared memory
through /dev/mem.
How does reading from /dev/mem affect the memory that is being read?
Specifically, why was reading from the card's shared memory corrupting
this memory for the ed driver?
Thanks in advance,
Garth.
