Oh no ... not color ls...

I can tell what things are at a glance without colors:

basalt (thorpej) /sys 303% ls
total 28
1 CVS/ 1 ddb/ 1 miscfs/ 2 netiso/ 1 ufs/
1 Makefile 1 dev/ 1 msdosfs/ 1 netns/ 1 vm/
1 adosfs/ 0 hp300@ 1 net/ 1 nfs/
1 arch/ 1 isofs/ 1 netccitt/ 1 scsi/
1 compat/ 2 kern/ 1 netinet/ 1 stand/
1 conf/ 1 lib/ 1 netipx/ 2 sys/

i.e. Makfile is a file, adosfs/ is a directory, and hp300@ is a symlink.

basalt (thorpej) /sys 304% alias ls
/bin/ls -sCF

That ought to do the trick.
