I have had a 445C for several months.  I have never had any problems
with it.  (NB: Once I got it into the slot; VLB cards are a pain in
the *ss in that respect!)

I think the only major difference is that the 445C uses a setup
program in its BIOS instead of jumpers.

Is your CDROM SCSI2 compliant?  I think the audio commands that
Workman uses are only in SCSI2, not SCSI1.
