In that there aren't any known (by me, anyway) problems with the 2.4.5
code generation on the m68k that affect the NetBSD source tree, "Yes."

We should wait until after the next release (of NetBSD).

It would be and I have heard rumors that it will be out "real soon,
now," so it (or possibly even 2.7.2) wouldn't be a bad point to start
evaluating it.

There's certainly nothing wrong with people getting the gnu distributions
and start evaluating them by building the kernels and anything else you
can get your hands on. This would have the side-effect of getting problems
surfaced and fixed before anyone gets around to actually importing the
newer code.
