This is on a i386 box, though I dont know if the problem is unique to
the intel boxes. Running 1.0 with the patches applied.

On a couple of occasions if I start gdb from within emacs the system
will hang. I usually have to step a few instructions before it
happens.  What I mean by hang is that the mouse in X stops responding.
The disk drive light was on the last time this happened (using an IDE
drive).  Hitting return also gets no response from emacs. 

Is this a known problem?
