Hi all again,

I have received some responses regarding the "local" flag in /etc/ttys - I neglected to mention
that it was in place at per the man page for ttys. I've tried various combinations of flags as
well, all to no avail.

Is there anything peculiar about internal modems I should be aware off? Any weird hardware
issues (conflicts etc) that I should be looking for?

I'm stuck and don't know how to proceed from this point...

Regards,

jmh
