Hi all,

I've been trying to get an internal 14.4Kbaud modem working for some
time. I've checked the FAQ's, and haven't found the problems I've
been having (with the modem that is ...)

I'm running NetBSD 1.0 , i386 arch (33MHz 386, ISA, ZoomFax Internal modem)

Here is the bootup stuff which shows that the os recognizes the hardware:

Here's the perms on the device ...

Running tip I get "Cannot synchronize with hayes"

Running cu, I get a timeout

Running kermit, I get nothing.

Is there something special about internal modems that I'm ignorant about?

I've changed the port settings using stty -f /dev/tty02 (i.e.: clocal, -parity,  (and a host of others to long to mention...), all to no avail...
- starting to believe I've got a broken piece of hardware.

Anyone who can help, please do...
