Can you also try building a kernel with sys/dev/pci/nvme_pci.c
patched to change the default
int nvme_pci_force_intx = 1;
and another kernel with it patched to change the default
int nvme_pci_mq = 0;
and share what happens, including, if it panics again, output from the
same ddb commands, (ps, show event, call heatbeat_dump, mach cpu N and
bt)?
martin's system was getting an interrupt storm from the nvme device,
and I wonder whether fiddling with the interrupt type -- INTx vs MSI
vs MSI-X, single-queue vs multi-queue -- might make a difference.
This is obviously not a fix but it might reveal some information.
