Same behaviour in NetBSD-9.3, internal keyboard does not work.
I connected the external USB radiofrequency keyboard, it seems to work 
with the same key repetitions. I pressed "a" "installation messages in 
english" and everything stops with the kernel message:

umass0:BBB reset failed, TIMEOUT
USB pendrive light keeps blinking endless

I switched off the PC pressing shutdown button for some seconds. Now it 
seems that the image on the pendrive is damaged and I had to flash it 
again to get it work.
