 Hi,

short update, on hint from martin@, I tried booting with
console=VGA and turning off the two flat panel screens connected
to my PC just after pressing enter to the "boot netbsd.new"
command in the boot loader CLI.

I also waited long enough that the PC would normally have come up
and configured the network, and it did not become reachable, so
this is a fairly strong indication that the kernel has crashed.

Annoyingly, this doesn't reproduce when I boot the same kernel
with console=serial, and since the screen goes blank it's really
difficult to provide any more precise error message.

 Regards,

 - Havard
