 Sorry to bother you but I checked if the problem was still
 present in the recent NetBSD 9.0_BETA and it is.  Any chance to
 have a fix committed before release? I'm still using Robert Elz's
 patch with 8.1.

 Any news about that? The problem is still in stock 9.0_RC1 and
 the patch provided by Robert still applies cleanly and solves the
 problem.
