 As of about three days ago, after about 8-9 days uptime (not sure
 exactly when it happened) beeps through the audio system stopped
 happening, for no obvious reason and with no obvious trigger. I think
 the PC speaker is still beeping, but with the adjustments I made to
 avoid being deafened by the other it's barely noticeable so I'm not
 absolutely certain.
