 I'm having similar trouble with Youtube videos played with firefox.
 
 The first second or so of a video plays and then everything starts
 chopping and stuttering.  The video doesn't really continue, seeming
 to wait for the audio to get its act together.
 
 I'm using firefox52 built with:
 
   PKG_DEFAULT_OPTIONS+=oss -pulseaudio -alsa
 
 My system:
 
 amd64 8.99.39 with:
