Architecture: x86_64
Machine: amd64
>Description:

During the last few updates (after several kernel version bumps in the last
few days) the /etc/motd file on several of my machines got truncated.

I did not spot the exact point when this happened, but there were no crashes
involved and it happened on multiple machines, so I suspect something
systematically being wrong.
