 All right, so even regular drive reset fails. I'll send you later a
 patch to test, I found some IPMS handling in OpenBSD driver which
 might help things.
 
 Meanwhile, can you please boot in debug mode (boot -x), and send me
 the part of dmesg where it would say either:
 "....: error 0x.. sending FIS"
 or
 "...: timeout sending FIS"
