>Description:
ofwboot.xcf is unable to boot a GENERIC kernel from root UFS partition, system crashes instantly with text scrolling past at a rapid rate (kernel ISI by $someaddress (SRR1 0x4003030), Ir: 0x1001e4)

If invoked with -a to drop to a prompt an the kernel is booted with -c (to drop to UKC) system locks hard.

It's happy to boot the INSTALL or GENERIC kernel (gzipped) from an HFS partition but not from the root UFS partition.

ofwboot.elf is happy to boot the system either way, ofwboot.xcf was previously happy to.
>How-To-Repeat:
On a Mac with an HDD partitioned with OS X disk utility, utilising 3 partitions.
1st HFS+, 2nd UFS /, 3rd swap.
post install
copy ofwboot.xcf to HFS+ partition
from openfirmware prompt, issue
boot hd:,\ofwboot.xcf
