Following on from port-macppc/52949, the microphone on systems with snapper(4) devices appears to be always on, this cause problems with audio feedback, especially once the volume is raised being a certain level using F5 key (hotkey for volume up) on keyboard.

Reproduced issue on 15" & 12" PowerBooks.
>How-To-Repeat:
Press F5 several times to raise volume or place hand over microphone.
On a 12" PowerBook the microphone has a hole above the F1 key on the keyboard.

On a 15" PowerBook rest the palm of your hand on the left hand speaker & gently pushing down.
