Testing with lynx-2.8.8.2nb7 what described still applies.
If the:
<img src=3D"../../images/empty.gif" border=3D"0" width=3D"1" height=3D"1"=
alt=3D"NetBSD ">
Instead of `NetBSD Home page' it become just `Home page'.
In other words, the `empty.gif' <img>, for lynx, and maybe other text
web browsers, try to mimic the look & feel of the web browsers that
renders images and add the `NetBSD' flag logo.
So, despite it's a rationale that is no more needed for the new
web pages I would prefer to keep it.
