 With the change posted by joerg@ eariler, I moved the local patch aside,
 updated, and ran a non-update release build.
 
 After updating two i386 hosts (one w/native Xorg, one w/modular Xorg),
 preliminary observations indicate the problem is fixed.
 
 I did at least two cycles of building 'gvfs' and 'gobject-introspection'
 and then rebuilding each in turn.  There were no segfaults.
 
 The i386-current hosts were almost done with building my usual complement
 of packages.  They have resumed that task with the updated system.
 
 Tests with amd64-current soon.
 
 If it works out, pull up to netbsd-8.
