For completeness, I had no problem with NetBSD as such on vbox5,
(other than the warm reboot one Christos mentioned, which I saw too,
but I doubt that is a NetBSD problem either) the problems are all
with vbox itself. For example, one is the little (scolls away) menu
that exists in fullscreen mode (which is what I use all the time).
I have a 1920x1080 (or whatever HDTV is) display - vbox 5 put that
menu about where it would be for a 1024x768 (or something) display
 - ie: more or less in the middle of the (larger) screen -- going into & out
of fullscreen more enough times (ie: not just once) would fix it (put it
in the middle at the bottom of the screen), but ...

Also (this one appears a lot on the vbox lists) it does a very poor job
of claiming USB discs (vbox 4, with linux host, simply works - same
linux version as host, I think I had it work twice with vbox5, in
many dozens of attempts, and no clue why it worked those two times
 - since I do backups to that kind of device, having them working
reliably is kind of important (the discs are mostly cgd'd so the useful
part won't mount anywhere but NetBSD.) None of the suggested workarounds
worked for me (except those two times.)
