 With firefox 43.0 (pkgsrc-2015Q4),
 
   CONFIGURE_ARGS+= --disable-elf-hack
 
 did not help.
 
 Updating firefox (and nss, nspr) to HEAD (and without above CONFIGURE_ARGS
 modification) builds just fine on i386-7.99.26 (binutils 2.26).
