 BTW, I'm not sure if the documentation needs to mention:
   If you do this, you should also disable Internet Time Update in Windows.
 my very up-to-date Windows 7 machine seems to be happily using
 internet time (even dug itself out of a hole when I switched on UTC
 on).  Perhaps something like:
   If you do this, you should ensure that your system has all related
 fixes applied.

 Putting Windows into UTC is potentially the preferred option :-)
