NetBSD 7.99.1 (POP) #8: Wed Nov 19 19:54:44 UTC 2014
>Description:
Samsung 530u laptop with an ElanTex SmartPad
http://www.emc.com.tw/eng/tpn_sp_fun.asp I believe if someone has documentation I'm interested
from dmesg with some debugging enabled:
wskbd0 at pckbd0: console keyboard
pms0 at pckbc1 (aux slot)
pms0: bad elantech magic (3C 3 0)
pckbc1: using irq 12 for aux slot
wsmouse0 at pms0 mux 0
While basic functionality does work, there's no ability to do things like turn off gestures such as inadvertently touching the touch-pad while typing being turned into mouse motion / click.
As a starting point, the obvious change - just accept 3c 3 0 as an elantec - didn't work, I suspect the underlying protocol has also changed
