 Hi,
 
 I thought I'd go through old ope PR's and see if there is any that I might be 
 able to address.
 
 I came across this one and tested dd to see if the transfer rate was invalid.
 
 I tested it by writing to an ffs file system and writing to an mfs file system 
as
 mentioned in the PR and at all times the transfer speed was correct.
 
 I don't know if this PR still applies.
