Did the install precisely as per instructions, and when booting into single 
user to configure the system it will not access the root & usr partition. If I 
try to force a kernel from the macos side all I get are vertical white bars of 
varying sizes.

I've also pulled the Daystar 040 and get the same results.

Happens every time I install.
