The reason for "is it fixed now", as you may perhaps realize upon
reflection, is that many bugs are hardware- or configuration-
dependent. Unless you can replicate a bug yourself, it's not fixed
until the submitter confirms it. Sometimes even if you can replicate a
bug yourself, the fix doesn't fix it for the submitter, too.

Hence all the stuff with feedback and feedback timeouts.
