I'm shocked. Changing CDROM drive to "master" has solved the problem.
Now it is recognized correctly. Could you please explain why it is not
recommended
to have "slave" devices without "master" and why hardware detection
is implemented this way in NetBSD. I've never seen such behaviour before.
