With a NFS mounted /usr/src (server: NetBSD 5.1) I see random messages like:

{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}: Fatal error: can't close ah.o: Stale NFS file handle

while trying to build a kernel. This is new, server is unchanged, only the
local kernel has been updated two weeks ago.

Dunno, happens "sometimes".
