>Description:
Dear NetBSD developers,
Recently, I tried to install NetBSD 5.1 on my HP DV5 notebook. I found
that "ACPI error" shown up during the installation. The error messages
refreshed my screen for each 10 seconds. I ignored these error messages and
continued my installation. However, after I finished the installation and
reboot the computer, the error messages kept in refreshing my screen for each
10 seconds and it disturbed my normal operations. I cannot remember the error
messages exactly: something like "Motherboard .... error in loading header
files........". What will be the cost if I disable ACPI? (e.g. cannot use power
manager?) Thanks for your attention.

Best,
yorkey
