 That was stupid.  The printf doesn't trigger because all of those are
 of type ACPI_TYPE_DEVICE.
 
 So I guess the issue is that the device gets somehow disabled by the
 ACPI code at some point, and thus is never probed.
 
 What changed the behaviour is an update of the ACPI-CA code, a dump of
 the ACPI tables might give an explanation why the device is deactivated
 now.
