 Hi,

So during Christmas, I manage to get NetBSD 5(.0.1/i386) working with
COMPAT_LINUX and my backup software (Veritas NetBackup) with a patch
 from Nicolas Joly
 (http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2009/05/26/msg009936.html)
and a workaround for the backup software (it seems like also mount
points outside /emul/linux aren't allowed to read from even thought they
are presented by /emul/linux/proc/mounts (or /etc/mtab within the
 emulation root).

btw. since NetBSD 5 is now the preferred release to run, shouldn't
pkgsrc emulators/suse100_base do the symlinking of /etc/mtab ->
/proc/mounts correct for NetBSD 5 and onwards?
This problem caused frustration for me before, and I suggested a patch
for COMPAT_LINUX man page (at least to mention the new COMPAT_LINUX
behavior). Because this more "locked" COMPAT_LINUX behavior wasn't
mentioned anywhere in the documentation then, and I don't think that has
 changed.

But back to the original problem...

I got another bnx crash again, now running NetBSD 5.0.1/i386.
Wasn't this fixed in NetBSD 5.0? Or was it correct in 5_STABLE?
