 }  Well, that was my first thought, and also fair@'s back in 2004, but
 }  the submitter said he tried multiple cables. It could be the
 }  controller or drive but that doesn't seem too likely. I guess the next
 }  candidate is an inadequate power supply, but some weird driver issue
 }  isn't at all impossible either.
 
      The only weird possible driver issue would be the driver
 misreporting an error from the controller.  This is unlikely as many
 more people would likely see the problem in that case.
