The null modem serial cable is connected 24/7. When the hang first happened,
I was downstairs on another computer using OpenSSH. After, when it hang, I
pinged the computer and received a reply and thought that it was odd... When
I went upstairs I went ahead and used Putty and connected via serial cable.
That's when I was greeted by the db> prompt. I always have the cable
connected, there's no monitor or keyboard connected to the UP1500. Will L G

Did you connect the serial console before booting the system, or
around the time it did hang ?
