The wm(4) Support of Intel 82657LM3 (as found in the Intel DQ45CB Desktop 
Mainboard and some modern laptops) is relatively flakey. The following symptoms 
occur:

1) On boot, an ioctl (SIOCSIFMEDIA) fails (invalid argument). Probably just not 
implemented?

2) During operation, the device is always shown as down.

3) Possibly because of 2), you cannot reconfigure your IP address or NetBSD 
will end up not using any routes anymore (e.g., you are pingable, but you 
cannot reach anybody)

4) As soon as this issues are fixed, wm(4) should be in NetBSD 5.0 to not force 
users to track current.

Boot a machine with 82657LM3 using DHCP, try to reconfigure it manually.
