 I can easily reproduce this (on -current, with
 a wapbl root file system), using a vnd image:
 
 dd if=dev/zero of=testimage count=NNN
 vnconfig vnd0 testimage
 newfs /dev/rvnd0a
 mount /dev/vnd0a /mnt
 touch /mnt/xxx
 umount /mnt
 [hang]
