 More info

 kern.timecounter.hardware: TSC -> ACPI-Safe
 bash-3.2# time sleep 1

 real    0m3.507s
 user    0m0.003s
 sys     0m0.003s
 bash-3.2# sysctl -w kern.timecounter.hardware=TSC
 kern.timecounter.hardware: ACPI-Safe -> TSC
 bash-3.2# time sleep 1

 real    0m1.009s
 user    0m0.001s
 sys     0m0.001s

 I don't know what any of that means, but I guess as a workaround I can
 add that to my boot scripts to make time work right.
