Upon getting near the login prompt, the system will trap out and drop to DDB 
with a "kernel trap type 30: data access exception". It seems to happen at 
random times, somewhere in an interrupt service routine, and always, it seems, 
on CPU1. INSTALL kernel worked fine, GENERIC.MP fails.

Boot, install, reboot, watch crash.
