 Maybe INSTALL kernel in cdhdtape doesn't have symbol table
 so trace command doesn't work properly.
 I've put cdhdtape image which contains GENERIC with some printfs
 (but not root md image):

 If you can get ddb(4) prompt, please try
 "trace", "ps/w", "show event" and "show uvmexp" etc.
