>Description:
Where envstat used to report sane values for all my systems
fans:
CPU Temperature: 55.500 degC
MB Temperature: 31.000 degC
Vcore Voltage: 1.240 V
+3.3 Voltage: 3.296 V
+5 Voltage: 5.120 V
+12 Voltage: 12.460 V
CPU FAN Speed: 1022 RPM
CHASSIS FAN Speed: 1713 RPM
POWER FAN Speed: 1117 RPM
it does no longer display the last 2 fan speeds correctly
but instead prints 2^32 - 1. Every time envstat runs, it
causes the kernel to print:
ACPI Error (dswstate-0329): No result objects! State=0xc2fbd000 [20060217]
ACPI Exception (dsutils-0767): AE_AML_NO_RETURN_VALUE, Missing or null operand [20060217]
ACPI Exception (dsutils-0867): AE_AML_NO_RETURN_VALUE, While creating Arg 1 [20060217]
ACPI Error (psparse-0626): Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.SBRG.ASOC.RFAN] (Node 0xc2be6fc0), AE_AML_NO_RETURN_VALUE
ACPI Error (dswstate-0329): No result objects! State=0xc2fbd800 [20060217]
ACPI Exception (dsutils-0767): AE_AML_NO_RETURN_VALUE, Missing or null operand [20060217]
ACPI Exception (dsutils-0867): AE_AML_NO_RETURN_VALUE, While creating Arg 1 [20060217]
ACPI Error (psparse-0626): Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.SBRG.ASOC.RFAN] (Node 0xc2be6fc0), AE_AML_NO_RETURN_VALUE
Note in the above fragments of dmesg that approximately
the same messages are printed when attaching aiboost and
apm.
>How-To-Repeat:
Run envstat on a system with similar hardware as mine.
>Fix:
I have no idea. Let me now if I should provide more input
like dumps of acpi tables or such.
