I'm terribly sorry for this.
Since your message to me was in response to my posting to the mailing
list, and since it only contained a statement about an interesting
approach and no personal or confidential information, I thought you had
either *intended* to send it to the list, and you had just sent it to me
by mistake (doing a reply instead of a followup, which can easily
happen), or that you had also posted it to the list and I had missed the
posting (not unlikely either, due to strange mail filtering at my work
site).
Obviously it was me who was mistaken. Please accept my sincere
apologies.
