 I didn't see your reply to the PR, so sorry for late response.  I've
 added myself to the notify list for this PR.
 
 For outputs.master.mute, this works as expected with just speakers.
 With headphones plugged in though, there is no effect on either speakers
 or phone - they both work with outputs.master.mute=on.
 
 outputs.speaker.boost, outputs.mono.mute, outputs.selector.mute all
 had no effect for speakers only or speakers + headphones.
