 Well, it's been...5 yrs since I filed that PR.
 
 In that time, my brain has been scooped out and
 replaced with that of a Java guy, so...I'm not
 compiling NetBSD kernels any longer, my test
 gear is all decommissioned, and I no longer
 work on *BSD kernels for either a living or
 a playing.
 
 Sorry, but I can't help very much here, except
 to agree with the obvious: a parallel make running
 on a union'ed /usr/src would pile up a bunch
 of concurrent accesses to the same dir structure,
 so it seems that if PR 32535 is fixed, then this
 one would be, too.
