one of these:

panic("ds_len > SBP_SEG_MAX, fix busdma code");

lines in sbp.c is getting executed.

attach firewire hdd, then

dd if=/dev/rsd0c of=/dev/null bs=64k count=64k

and see the lovely panic message come up :[

This works for .5KiB blocks FWIW, but that is slower.
