    Actually it's not fixed _in_ 1.6 either.  The pullups to the driver were
    never done.

     Since 1.6 is also eol'd, it will never be fixed there.  If you
can show that the problems exist in 2.x or later, then the PR can be
re-opened.

    Sadly since no subsequent update of this driver has been done from the
    FreeBSD original since 2003/04/19, there are stil many rather serious
    bugs and important deficiencies in the ahc(4) driver.
